Activities of Bareilly Cancer Charitable Trust 1) Free Cancer Detection Centre : the trust is holding regular clinic on 1st and 3rd Saturday of every month. The medicines prescribed by the doctors are given to the patient at very subsidized rates. 2) Vijay Laxmi Mishra Cancer Medicine Bank : Medicine Bank is providing Tab. Tamoxifen for Breast Cancer and Cap. Hydroxyurea for Chronic Myeloid Leukaemia free of cost. 3) Terminally ill Patients : We have resolved to give hospice and domestic care to terminally ill cancer patients. Doctors & Trustees have started visiting such patients at their homes and provide them medicines, nursing care and psychological support to family member. 4) Cancer awareness, education and screening camps at health melas and villages : Medical checkup and cancer awareness, education programs is being held by giving talk, audiovisual aids and providing pamphlets. 5) Charitable Dispensary 6) Tobacco Cessasion Clinic : Tobacco cessasion clinic have been established which is providing specialised services to the people including free distribution of medicines besides intensive indoor & outdoor awareness activities to motivate various sections of society to give up smoking. To fulfill its commitment to fight cancer, we are constructing a Bhawan/Hospice at a prominent place at Bareilly. Besides cancer awareness programme, cancer education, early cancer detection facilities and help treatment of poor cancer patients, trust will start a “Palliative care centre” for terminally ill-cancer patient.
